Terms of Use

The licence
cncArtist is licensed, not sold, to you through the App Store. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies, together with these terms. If the two disagree, Apple's agreement wins.
Your designs are yours
Everything you make with cncArtist belongs to you. The built-in shapes, 3D pieces, samples and templates may be used in things you make, including things you sell. You may not resell or redistribute them as a collection of files on their own.
Machine safety
CNC machines and lasers can cause serious injury, fire and damage. cncArtist creates instructions for your machine and checks them in a simulator, but it can't see your machine, your material or your setup. You're responsible for checking your zero, tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds before every cut, for following your machine maker's safety instructions, and for staying with the machine while it runs. Air-cut new jobs and new setups first.
No warranty
cncArtist is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be free of errors, or that the G-code it produces is right for your machine, material or purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for damage to machines, tools, material or property, for lost profits or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of cncArtist. If we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for cncArtist. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Trademarks
cncArtist is our trademark. Machine and software names such as Centroid, Shapeoko, X-Carve, Onefinity, ShopBot, Aspire and VCarve belong to their owners and are used only to say which machines and files cncArtist works with. cncArtist isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use cncArtist after a change means you accept the new terms.
